Our approach to responsible tourism means that Peregrine only employs tour
leaders and guides who are local to the destination. We prefer local leaders
because they can speak the language, read the menus, identify fruit in the
markets, explain the culture and give our clients an insight into their homeland's
lifestyle and traditions in a way that a most foreign leaders cannot.
The three exceptions are our polar expeditions (where we employ leaders
from around the world with specific skills), our Himalayan climbs (where we
employ both local guides and a foreign expedition leader on each trip), and
multi-country trips (where we employ leaders born in the region).
We advertise new positions for our Australian offices in capital city
newspapers and on this website.
Area Sales Manager (ASM) Queensland
We are looking for an ASM to promote & motivate sales of Peregrine & Gecko's trips to travel agents, through training, attendance at travel shows and building relationships. To be successful in this role, you will need at least 2 years experience as a travel consultant or be working as a sales rep in the travel industry. A passion for travel, ability to work autonomously and from a home office is essential.
