Welcome to Malawi

Malawi’s got the world’s friendliest people (as voted by us), massive national parks, safaris, scenery and a culture so rich you can taste it (especially when you try the food). And are no crowds. Nil, zip, nada. Lake Malawi is the country’s biggest drawcard, probably because this freshwater marine park is chock full of tropical fish, cystal-clear water, and is lined with miles of white sands and the odd camp site.

Lilongwe makes for a relaxed capital that is worth exploring, and if you’re after some game viewing, then make a beeline for Malawi’s game-filled national parks, with Liwonde National Park reported to be the best. Which it probably is.

Actually, on this trip you will go chasing waterfalls. It's pretty much the entire point. We were being ironic, ok?

Africa

If Toto’s Africa is your late-night jam and your favourite Disney movie is hands down, without a doubt The Lion King, then Africa will definitely be your dreamland destination.

Whether you wanna get your David Attenborough on in the Serengeti, hit the highs of Mount Kilimanjaro or cruise the Okavango Delta in Botswana, this super massive continent has a little adventure to suit every switched on traveller.

So jump on a Geckos Africa tour and feel the might of Victoria Falls, sun bake by Lake Malawi, hang out with Masai warriors, eat lunch with the wild gorillas of Uganda and Rwanda, sip on top-notch wine in South Africa and let your worries wash away to the sounds of safari. Hakuna matata, guys, hakuna matata.
