Overall an enjoyable trip with a very helpful and friendly guide Julius. Tour itself was well structured, meals were quite decent and it was a nice end to the trip to have some relaxation in Zanzibar. Alot of early starts which was to be expected, and some work relating to putting up/down tents & cleaning duties which is explained in the tour outline but I found that it actually helped foster group camaraderie. Would definitely do another tour like this again.

The trip should be streached out a few days longer so you could spend more time in some places. And not putting up and pulling down tents in the dark.

Expect big things on a trip to Tanzania. With big game reserves, big populations of wildlife, a massive animal-filled crater, big-hearted locals and one really, really big mountain, it’s no wonder so many people travel to Tanzania.
Join a Geckos tour of Tanzania to have sleepless nights listening to animal calls while camping near Serengeti National Park, hit the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater to find rare rhinos, mix with local growers in the Usambara Mountains, beach camp in steamy Dar es Salaam, learn local secrets from the Chagga people and get heated with some Swahili curry in Zanzibar.
From chilling on deserted beaches to mixing it up in modern cities and embarking on a take-no-prisoners mountain climb, Tanzania has an adventure to suit hardy travellers of all persuasions. Trust us, yeah?
