Your top tips for preparing to travel

We recently asked our clever Facebook fans to give us their top tips for helping to prepare for a trip. We knew they'd come up with some handy hints, and we were proven right!

• Michelle Love An Air New Zealand air point card. Won't be travelling any where without it.
• Matoha A Nelson Wade bug spray
• Diane S Anderson Make sure I have enough months on my passport
• Alana McCambridge make a list!
• Grace McCallum Prepare for everything you can beforehand, but once you're there, prepare to just take everything as it comes. Also, make a list of everything you're taking in your suitcase. Then take it with you and every time you change location, make sure you can check everything off the list.
• Erin Abel Check the weather forecasts BEFORE leaving for the airport in order to know what to pack/wear!
• Renee Nicholson Buy an iPod and fill it with music.
• Nicole Newell Facial mist spray.... Was a life saver for me and my fellow Gecko's tour on a VERY hot day in Egypt's Valley of the Kings tour
• Azenith Terrado Have an extra battery and SD card for your camera.
• Matt Fisher Just book a ticket and go
• Catherine Morton For god sake relax and just go with the flow....
• Huia Edwards Go into it with a broad mind. Open heart & a lot of stamina cos remember everyone goes on their adventures for lotsa diff reasons. The one thing that you are sure to have in common is that you all are hoping for a trip of ur lifetime:-)
