5 budget beauty products to bring on the road

Travel is expensive. And while it’s important to look good along the way, you should be able to do so without breaking the bank. Erin the World Wanderer explains that although you may not be able to bring all the luxuries from home along with you, there are five beauty products she would never leave home without:

Face cleansing wipes
These are life savers, and because of their multiple uses you’ll probably go through more than you anticipate. You can use them to clean your face after a night out or freshen up after a hike in the jungle. You can wash your hands before a meal or clean your feet after a day of city walking. I use them for everything and I am always grateful when I remember to bring an extra pack.

Blemish treating concealer
Even if you aren’t prone to breakouts, I’d suggest bringing this product along just in case. Between long plane rides, late nights out, humid weather and layering of sunscreen you are bound to break out at some point during your travels. That’s why I always make sure to pack treatment for blemishes. However, it isn’t just enough to treat the blemish. Since there are people to meet and pictures to take, you’re also going to want to cover it up. That’s why a 2-in-1 product is perfect. You’ll be glad that you’re prepared for anything that happens to your skin on the road.

Dry shampoo
Life on the road isn’t always easy. When you are hopping from place to place there isn’t always time or a place to shower. But dry shampoo ensures that you’ll feel refreshed at all times. In moments when plenty of pictures will be taken it’s the ideal product. Plus you never know who you’ll meet on your journey, so looking your best is crucial.

Tinted moisturiser:
Tinted moisturiser is one of my favourite products. It is light enough to wear daily during your adventures, but it also gives enough coverage to feel like you have on some make-up. I highly recommend this product because it can easily replace your foundation, moisturiser, and sunscreen, which means less layering.  Your face will thank you.

Under-eye brightener
While I’m off travelling, I take a lot of pictures. Under-eye brightener has been the key tool in ensuring that I do not look run down. With late nights out socialising and early mornings travelling my dark circles are at their worst when I am away. But under-eye brightener makes it appear as if I’ve had hours of sleep - something that’s precious while travelling.

While there are sure to be times during your travels where you feel less than perfect, these products will help you feel more like yourself. Plus, with the money you saved maybe you’ll be able to stay away a week longer.
