Trying something a bit different today, with a Weekly Wrap Up blog. I'm going to post one each Friday, outlining some of the funny, interesting and important things that have happened around the traps.

Jeric Roche went on our Southern Heartbeat trip in Africa, and took this fantastic shot of one of our trucks. We love the way the colour of the rocks brings out the orange! Thanks Jeric. Keep posting your images on Facebook everyone, we love hearing all about your adventures.

Best blog:

We loved this week's contribution from our guest blogger, Erin from The World Wanderer. It was called 5 budget beauty buys to bring on the road (try saying that 10 times fast!). She gave us her top five budget beauty products, and a link to each so you can buy them before your next trip.

On Facebook this week, Paula Anderson jumped online to ask some advice for her upcoming Vietnam at a Glance trip:
"Ah stupid question but I'm going to Vietnam in November and stuggling to work out what shoes to take... Any suggestions?"

Not a stupid question at all! In fact, heaps of our helpful fans jumped online to give Paula some tips. Here's what they had to say:

  • Sean Gerald Ramirez: I would recommend something similar to the Patagonia Drifter A/C GTX. They have a Gortex liner which breathes but keeps moisture out. If you're asking about nightlife I have no idea.
  • Erin Marie: TOMS! Comfortable, adorable, and their philosophy is ideal! I wore mine the whole time in Vietnam. Check out the TOMS site
  • Louise Benson: I went to SE Asia in July and I took a pair of thongs and a pair of joggers as well as a pair of sandals
  • Paula Andersen: I need walking shoes as well as shoes for nightlife which I have... Heels are staying put at home. But thongs and flats I have :D
  • Steve Wan: I bought the men's version of the Kathmandu Barcoo. Really comfy, heaps of ventialtion, water friendly and reasonable price
  • Gecko's Adventures: ‎Paula Andersen they look comfy. They would definitely do the job! I am off to Vietnam soon so you will have to give me some tips when you get back. Leigh
