Nicaragua may be one of Central America's largest countries but, due to its war torn past it is also one of the least  visited. Maybe that's why the country and people still retain a strong culture which is disappearing fast in places other Central American.

So we felt lucky to be able to enjoy the pristine surroundings and old colonial cities of Nicaragua while they're still relatively undiscovered and unspoilt.

As your aircraft descends onto the vast plains of Yogyakarta on the island of Java, Indonesia, the first thing that strikes you is the majestic sight of the Prambanan Temple standing tall, proud and somewhat mystical surrounded by lush green paddy fields and plantations.

I’m Juno Kim, ex-Mechanical Engineer and now a perpetual backpacker. A firm believer of serendipity, and living by passion and love in life.

I travel with the Kiwi brothers (stuffed animals), maybe you have seen them occasionally on Runaway Juno? But I’ve never hung out with actual Kiwi birds though. Llamas, baby goats and turtles are recently registered on “Juno’s favourite animals” list.
