2 overnight train voyages within 9 days is quite exhausting. I would have gladly paid a bit more for 1 more inland flight

The trip in general was excellent, seeing the more popular sites in the cities visited, in the most non fuss methond possible.

Clare - Australia, 31 Mar, 2012
For someone who has never travelled before I found this to be a great experience. I had plenty of opportunities to enjoy this foreign country alone with my partner as well as exploring with the group. It was to be able to travel like the locals. The hard-sleeper train was so much fun, which I definitely wasn't expecting. The cultural differences between China and Australia are extremely different, but that's what travelling is about, opening your eyes and appreciating what you have in life.

I enjoyed the sightseeing, however as a young traveller I was hoping to be involved in more active things to do. I enjoyed climbing the great wall and the bike riding in xi'an. More activities that are adventourous would make the tour better for younger people like myself.

Overall the tour was great but being a short trip and changing tour guides and groups was very disruptive. However, we had a great time and would book with Geckos again.
