The tour was well structured and included a decent balance between planned activities, optional activities and free time. I was able to visit numerous attractions and cities in China and spend a reasonable time in each place.

Overall I was very satisfied with this tour and did not expect to enjoy it or have as much fun as i did. The activities in the tour were a lot of fun, I highly recommend all the cycling activities as it was a great way to see a lot of China. The cooking and Kung Fu lessons in Yangshuo were really good. Likewise the Kung Fu show was done to a really high standard and was enjoyable to watch. I enjoyed the group meals and the restaurants we went to. I was sad to leave China but feel inspired to travel again and will eagerly start planning my next holiday!

China is epic. It’s huge. No matter how awesome you think it’s going to be, multiply that by 10. It’s like 50 countries in one. Probably because there are 56 ethnic groups, each with their own way of doing things.
It has mountains, deserts, coast, rivers, jungle, forest and farmland. And that’s just in one tiny little corner. It has some of the most ancient relics in the world as well as some of the craziest modern buildings you’ve ever seen.
You can walk along the Great Wall, trek to hilltop monasteries, gawk at Tiananmen Square, see the Terracotta Warriors, get Shanghaied by the amazing shopping in Shanghai, see the old cities of Lijiang and Shaxi or be overcome by panda cuteness in Chengdu.

China is a world unto itself. From its great outdoors to its grand cities, the rich layers of history and cultural diversity in this enormous country make for an extraordinary experience. Cycle through Guilin’s limestone ‘skyscraper’ scenery or trek remote sections of the Great Wall; wander through the ancient rice terraces of Longji or be overwhelmed by the grand archaeological treasure of Xian’s Terracotta Warriors. The scale of China’s grand sights are overwhelming, from the Silk Road to Shanghai, so be sure to also enjoy its age-old traditions, whether you’re participating or observing: perhaps tai chi in a bird garden, exploring the mighty metropolis of Hong Kong, or a game of mahjong at afternoon tea. And of course the dishes of arguably the world’s greatest cuisine – could 20% of the world’s population be wrong? China is the heart of one of the world’s great cultures; you’ll find ‘The Middle Kingdom’ the true place for East to meet West.View all China trips

Some of us are adventurous eaters, and some of us are wimps. Whatever side of the fence you sit on, we won't judge you. In fact, when it comes to Asia, we're pretty sure there are more than two sides to the fence anyway. There's probably like, seven ... Read more on the blog
