Mexico is everything you’ve dreamed, and more. Ancient Maya cities, palm-fringed beaches, moreish tacos and, of course, TEQUILA! Break out the trumpets.
Ah, Mexico – a place where food and drink collide in a perfect cacophony of delicious chaos.
This place is the stuff of beans. Oops, we mean dreams. Travelling through Mexico, you’ll begin to see a certain theme occurring.
That theme will usually involve street side tacos and sipping mezcal. Followed by more tacos. And a little more mezcal.
Once you’ve had your fill, you’ve got the likes of Tulum and Oaxaca to navigate – their ruins are literally the stuff of ancient history. And then there are the beaches, or playas, along the Caribbean Coast. Both will blow your mind. Mexico’s the kind of place that gets better the more you get involved.
So, get involved with an awesome crew of 18-29 year olds, an ace local leader and Geckos!
What people say
Mexico and Belize are HOT! Be prepared to sweat. Guatemala is a much cooler climate so bring warm clothes. Practice Spanish or get a phrase book if you have an opportunity.
Mexico travel highlights
Gawk at the Mayan ruins of Palenque
You’d think a 1,300-year-old city would be eerily quiet. Tell that to the screeching parrots and monkeys in the surrounding jungle
Try traditional mole Poblano in Puebla
Who ever thought chocolate, chilli and chicken could go together? Mexicans, that’s who (those foodie visionaries)
Haggle for a bargain at an Oaxaca market
Oaxaca’s handicraft markets are the perfect place to pick up some cheap and cheerful textiles and mingle with Zapotec and Mixtec Indians

Mexico Highlights, May 2017
This tour was a perfect way to see Mexico. We went from large towns, to small villages in the jungle and saw everthing that Mexico has to offer. Perfect amount of time spent in each town! Would highly recommend.
