They’ve got red hair, cheeky personalities and 360-degree rotatable hips – no, they’re not the satanic spawn of Fred and George Weasley, they’re the orangutans of Borneo.
The highest point in South East Asia? Check. Orangutans? Check. The kind of scenery that looks like it’s straight out of the Jungle Book? You betcha.
What we’re getting at here is that Borneo has a lot going for it. And when you visit Borneo with Geckos, you can float down the Kinabatangan River, climb Mt Kinabalu, search KK for the best food you can find, and of course…just sit around and take it all in.
It’s pretty much the best way to see Borneo you can possibly think of.
What people say
Borneo really exceeded all of my expectations. The Mt Kinabalu climb was definitely the big highlight – our guide, Richard, was really great at encouraging the whole group and making sure that we could all reach the summit. The view from the top was well worth the pain!

The trip to Sabah is packed full of activities and there isn't too much down time, but if your the adventerous type then that won't be an issue! The hike to Mt Kinabalu and homestay visit are quite memorable moments! Its definitely not one to pass on thats for sure!

This trip was incredible! So much to see and do and even though the hike is one of the hardest things I have ever done it is honestly so worth it! The view from the top left me speechless. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone who is up for a little bit of an adventure.
