What’s that sound? It’s the sound of you sniffling and wiping tears away as you watch the hairy black relos hanging out in the jungle.
Uganda’s the kind of place that will bring a tear to your eye. Partly because of the hard work trekking to see gorillas, but mostly because of the gorillas themselves.
It’s pretty much impossible to prepare yourself for the utter amazingness of sitting in a jungle clearing watching a big gorilla ignore an annoying younger gorilla.
Another thing that might make you a bit teary is the landscape. Uganda is, in two words, really nice. There are the misty mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Victoria and its chimp-covered island and Kampala, which after years of abuse is headed back to being ‘The Pearl of Africa’. Uganda: amazing stuff guaranteed, tissues optional.

While the obvious highlight for this trip has to be the Gorilla trekking there are other experiences that you should be prepared for. The tour team for your truck will offer you a camping and travel experience beyond the African bush and the wildlife - something you will remember for some time. While Kenya gets all the exposure get ready to blown away by the "greenness" of Uganda and the friendly village life in Rwanda.
