You’ll be Havana good time in no time in colourful Cuba.
Photographers love to travel to Cuba for the multihued buildings, car-aficionados are in it for the clapped out ‘yank tanks’ trawling the streets and rum-fiends love the strong Cuba Libres on offer.
Whatever your reason for travelling to Cuba, you’ll find another one as soon as you’re there – Cuba excels at that many things.
While on a Geckos tour of Cuba (with a small crew of 18-29 year olds) you’ll drink and dance in Havana’s bars, tour tobacco plantations in Vinales, be ensconced in all things ‘El Che’ in Santa Clara and pretend you’re not lost in Trinidad's tangle of cobbled streets.
Cuba equals much more than the sum of its parts; beyond the mojitos, murals, cigars and cars, this is a proud, passionate place that is in a state of transition.
What people say
Do not expect western standards, remember that their island living and the complex economy has limited resources. Therefore, locals and businesses have to make do with what they have.
What people say
My most recent Gecko's Adventure was to Cuba, and before that I discovered India and Nepal. Both Gecko's experiences changed the way I viewed my world. I saw amazing things, met some unforgettable people and was guided through a truly unforgettable adventure

Vintage Cuba, July 2017
The vintage Cuba tour is a great option for young travellers on a budget who want to see authentic Cuba without the stress of organising transport and accomodation in a place where it is difficult to do so. Trinidad and Vinales were both amazing towns that you might not otherwise see when travelling Cuba and the activities provided to us in these places were super fun and interesting. Our tour guide had a heap of local knowledge and helped us to understand Cubas rich history and every changing political climate. This trip was also a lot of fun, many mojitos were had, we partied in a limestone cave and got to really know everyone in the group and have many laughs together. Would recommend this trip highly and especially our guide Eddy :)

Santiago de Cuba Carnival, July 2017
Santiago de Cuba Carnival was a sweaty, fun, cultural driven, dancing, great time! Prepare for the heat of the weather and the not so hot food. This trip was so much fun, a good amount of time to get to know everyone, and enough down time to sort out your own activities if you want. Learn some basic salsa and Spanish and you will really enjoy the heart of the country.
