Brac to the future
Things we love about this trip: The cats in Korcula; the plum festival in Blace; the beaches, cheese and wine in Brac; the beautiful people and beautiful pizza in in Hvar; the bureks in Split and the ocean off the edge of Trogir. Things we do not love about this trip: We can’t be on it all day every day forever.
Day 1 - Dubrovnik/Slano
Day 2 - Ston/Mljet
The shipwrecked Odysseus lived in Mljet for seven years. You only get to spend one day here so you better be ready for a spot of culture-cramming.
Wake ready for a morning in Ston, a town tucked up on the isthmus that joins the mainland and the Peljesac Peninsula
Wander the narrow streets, built to confuse invaders, and explore the medieval town centreBreakfast | Lunch
Day 3 - Korcula
It would be weird not to point out that Korcula is full of cats. They are everywhere; mooching about in the sun, being fed by locals (they never beg for food) and generally ignoring tourists. Apparently, back in the Middle Ages the Venetians introduced cats here to stop rats from spreading disease, so the locals are super grateful and worship the ground they walk on. The cats remain indifferent.
Sail north-west through the waters towards Korcula (approx 6 hrs)
Sweep in past the round, defensive towers of Korcula Town via the Peljeski Channel
Explore Korkula's Old Town and make the most of the beachesBreakfast | Lunch
Day 4 - Blace
Pebble beaches, black pine groves, rocky cliffs, mountains, a river and more. Pure Blace.
Navigate the narrow sea channel and sail out again to the Adriatic for a blissful full day of sailing (approx. 5hrs)
Moor in the mainland for the night
Dock right next to a family run restaurant where you'll dine tonight
Perhaps go for a stunning hike up to an outlook with a 180 degree viewBreakfast | Lunch
Day 5 - Brac
Step Brac in time. Go Brac to the future. You scratch our Brac and we'll scratch yours. Not sure where we were going with that. But who cares, you're one one of the biggest islands central Dalmatia surrounded by beaches, cheese and homemade wine. Just like Arnie, you'll be Brac (last one, promise).
Make sail for Brac (approx 4 hrs) - the largest island in central Dalmatia
Take a leisurely cruise along the the coast of Brac, soaking up the sunshine and the scenery
Weigh anchor and go for a paddle in the sea, or snorkel and spot sea anemones, crabs, sea urchins and small fish in the pristine waters
Anchor for the Night in Bol or in a nearby Cove, depending on the weatherBreakfast | Lunch
Day 6 - Hvar
Grab a plate of calamari and a thin crust pizza in the piazza and watch the beautiful people pass by. Croatians are among the tallest in Europe, so everyone's in the ballpark of six feet, with olive skin and dark eyes and shiny hair and it's hard not to feel kind of plain in comparison. The cure? More pizza.
Voyage along the Neretvanski Channel away from mainland Central Dalmatia, and moor in the sailors Port Stari Grad (approx 5 hrs)
Settle in for an afternoon of beach-hopping, enjoying fresh seafood and kicking back with cocktails on the waterfront
Wander around towns with preserved Renaissance facades, hike past jagged limestone cliffs and slow your pace to enjoy the farms, ancient olive groves and fields of rosemary and lavender
Perhaps cross the Island by car and visit Hvar Town which - the so called San Trope of CroatiaBreakfast | Lunch
Day 7-8 - Split/Rogoznica
"Eat bureks every day," sang Snoop Dogg once upon a time. Well, that's not true. But if he had ever been to Split or Trogir, you can bet he would have.
Sail from island idyll to city wonderland, and approach the palm-lined harbour of Split
Explore the impressive ruins of Diocletian's Palace
From Split, continue sailing on to Trogir
Your journey on the waves ends at approximately 10am on Day 8, after a last breakfast aboard the yacht.
NB. If you are planning to depart today please do not book a flight earlier than 3pm in case our arrival is delayed due to weather conditions. The Itinerary above may be subject to change depending on weather or berth availability. Your Skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.Breakfast | Lunch
