Up for grabs is an AUD$500 travel voucher* which you can put towards your next Gecko's adventure.
How to enter? All you need to do is have a look through the photos you took on any of your past Gecko's tours and choose the one which you think most represents Gecko's Grassroots Adventures. We're not looking for the most technical shot that should be in National Geographic - simply a photo you took on the trip that you reckon captures the spirit of Grassroots Adventures.
To enter, please email: your photo, your name as per your passport, which Gecko's tour you travelled on and when, and where the photo was taken to facebook@geckosadventures.com by Friday 6 August 2010. The winner will be selected by Gecko's staff and the Top 10 pictures will be loaded onto our Facebook page!
Terms and Conditions
To enter the competition, entrants are required to email a photo taken on any Gecko’s tour that the entrant believes captures the essence of Gecko’s Grassroots Adventures. The entrant must also provide their name as per passport, the name of the Gecko’s tour they travelled on, when they travelled and where the photo was taken. The competition is only open to genuine Gecko’s travellers and Gecko’s will verify all entries according to our passenger database. All entries must be received by 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time on Friday 6 August 2010. The prize is one travel voucher valued at AUD$500 to put towards a Gecko’s Adventures brochured tour only and cannot be redeemed for a Private Group departure, extension trip, add-on or international flights. The voucher is valid for use for travel between 1 September 2010 and 30 June 2011. There are no restrictions on destinations but it is the prize winners responsibility to ensure that they travel within the period specified. The prize winner can choose a Gecko’s tour of a total value greater than AUD$500, and pay the difference. Additional expenses including spending money, meals not listed in tour itinerary, taxes, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transfers, additional transport and sight seeing outside of the tour itinerary, items of a personal nature, and all other ancillary costs are not included and are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Trip is subject to availability at time of reservation, non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount with the exception of the Gecko’s Loyalty Discount. Winner must contact Gecko’s Adventures no later than 56 days prior to the desired departure date. The winner must be aged 18 years or over. The competition is open to all past Gecko’s travellers regardless of their country of residence. Should the winner reside outside of Australia, the prize value of AUD$500 will be converted to the winner’s country of residence currency on the day the prize winner is selected, using www.xe.com No correspondence will be entered into in determining the winner nor in the exchange rate used. No compensation will be provided to the winner if they reside outside of Australia in regards to currency fluctuations that occur in the period between selecting the winner and when the winner ultimately uses their voucher. The winner will be determined by Friday 13 August and will be notified by email. Should the winner not acknowledge the prize notification email by 31 August 2010, Gecko’s reserves the right to award the prize to the second best photo entrant and so on. The winner will be selected according to creative merit and which photo Gecko's Adventures staff feel best captures the spirit of Gecko’s Grassroots Adventures. The top ten photos as chosen by Gecko's Adventures staff will be initially featured in the monthly Gecko’s e-news and Gecko’s Facebook page. All entries become the property of Gecko’s Adventures and can be used for future marketing activities including but not limited to Gecko’s monthly e-news, Facebook, brochures and other promotional material. Any photo used in any future marketing activities will be credited to the entrant. Entries can only be made by emailing facebook@geckosadventures.com and Gecko’s Adventures takes no responsibility for entries that are lost in cyberspace and not received by the competition closing date.
