Bolaven Plateau's ethnic minority groups
The cool, lush region of the elevated Bolaven Plateau is famous for its fantastic scenery, though it was once one of the most heavily bombed places during the war in Indochina. Now renowned as a coffee growing area, you can enjoy delicious ice coffee sweetened with condensed milk before trekking through the forest and growing regions, and onto some bolder-strewn rivers and stunning waterfalls. It is also home to various ethnic groups including those of Mon-Khmer background. Many of these people have held on to their old traditions and from your digs at the eco lodge you’ll learn all about them and how they co-exist with the region’s fragile natural ecosystem.
