Colourful, culturally diverse Colombo is the chaotic, kaleidoscopic glint in Sri Lanka’s teardrop topography. The commercial heart and capital of the country is a full-on jumble of constructions, cars and cricket lovers and the only real big buzz city on the island. If you’re craving people, petrol fumes and produce markets, Colombo will be a pleasingly distinct counterpoint to the languid countryside vibe of the rest of this wonderful country.
