Complejo de Los Volcanes

The pleasure of El Salvador's Volcanoes National Park lies in the rich diversity and abundant variety of its landscapes. The fertile soils of the slopes feed coffee plantations at their foot, before intensely colourful, vivid cypress forests appear, laden with moss and fern undergrowth and hummingbirds fluttering by orchids. Cloud-shrouded trails lead you up past inviting waterfell-fed pools to caldera lakes and cool cacti-studded highlands paramo, and to views of the full parade of peaks that roll out before you, stretching out into the blue distance.
