Kas' laid-back charm and ancient Greek theatre

A peaceful punctuation mark between some of Turkey’s busier stretches of Mediterranean coast, Kas has a woozy, low-key charm that can lull visitors into rethinking their travel itineraries. A sweet little shingle beach, Meis island lying picturesquely offshore; a scattering of white-washed houses that tumble down the steep hills that rise from the sea; and a well-preserved ancient Greek theatre – all deserving of a ramble between lingering cups of tea or glasses of beer at one of the many cafes and bars that dot the little town centre.
