Take a quick, ear-popping elevator ride up the 421 metre tall Menara KL tower to the observation and take a good look at Kuala Lumpur. Here is a city that’s grown from it’s swampy namesake origins (Kuala Lumpur means “muddy congfluence”) to be a powerhouse regional player. And form the tower overlook the city you can see its cultural as well as geographic spread; China and India are the Asian big boys these days, yet Malaysia has strong roots in both. No doubt it will continue to flourish too. After the birds eye view, get down on the ground and get lost in its labyrinthine sprawl.
