The perfect day in Anjuna

The perfect day in Anjuna

Here’s the plan for the perfect Anjuna day: wake up late (you’ve been out late the night before); eat your fill and mainline coffee in one of the town’s bakeries, then, because it’s Wednesday, head to the flea market. A crazy, mixed-up collage of life, where Tibetan mountain traders rub shoulders with hardcore hippies and where everything you’ve ever needed, and quite a lot more besides, is for sale. After you’ve bought your t-shirt/jewellery/massage/tattoo/whatever, it’s time to beach out. Anjuna’s strand of sand fits the bill, and the shacks serving up fresh seafood make it perfect for lingering. If you’re energetic, explore by bike for an hour or two, then it’s sunset hour, and time to find a hammock, take in the sea views and refamiliarise yourself with the local beach bars that kept you up so late the night before...
