
The Selenge River snakes its way through Mongol steppe and epic mountain scenery all the way to Lake Baikal in Siberia. The local pike, known as taimen, can reach enormous size here and a few mornings on the water in these parts is a fly-fisherman’s trip of a lifetime. But if you’re just passing through, you’ll still delight in the Selenge’s stunning scenery.
