Senga Bay on Lake Malawi
It may be a lake, but when you’re on the shores of Lake Malawi it sure doesn’t feel like it. Such is the vast expanse of this inland sea that Senga Bay feels coastal – golden sands lapped by waves, windsurfers mingling with snorkelers in the crystalline waters. It’s an idyllic spot, whether you’re after lazy, hazy afternoons or something more energetic. Life really is abundant here, the lake home to more species of fish than any other freshwater body, the beaches backed by bush where monkeys, hyrax and small antelopes roam.
