Touring icebergs by kayak

Though the kayak is an Arctic Inuit invention, their modern equivalents are the perfect way to manoeuvre around the calm, iceberg-strewn waters of the Antarctic too. A quiet, slack-water paddle around the icebergs’ cracking ice and slow shifts is rare adventure indeed, especially when joined by breaching whales and porpoising penguins and seals.  Exploring these ice flotillas from the water’s surface is unforgettable.
