The Big One. Kruger is the Daddy of African parks – as big as they get, as diverse as you can imagine. From the southern dense bush to the arid plains hundreds of kilometres to the north, whatever your wildlife passion, chances are its lurking somewhere in Kruger. Spend some time here and you will see the Big Five. Safari’s grand beasts are abundant around these parts, particularly in the park’s central heartlands. But that’s just the start – vast herds of impalas, vervet monkeys breakfasting in sycamore fig trees, sightings of elusive cheetahs and wild dogs, a lonely umbrella thorn tree at sunset – Kruger serves up every classic African safari image, and then some more.
