Yellow Mountain

Yellow Mountain

Wizen trees clinging to rocks, clouds rolling down valleys, wisps wrapping crevices; straight out of an ancient Chinese wall hanging, the mist-shrouded peaks of Yellow Mountain, or Huangshan, are perhaps the most famous image of China’s natural splendour. The 72 peaks can be taken in with minimal exertion, but a walk up a few hundred steps will get you amongst these spectacular formations or the middle of the spectacular Jade Gorge of ‘crouching tiger, hidden dragon’ fame.
