Seven days in sunny India. By foot, train, local bus and auto rickshaw you'll get to know the Indian culture and its contagious zest for life! Cue Bollywood dance scene.
(Was Heart of India)
Day 1 - Delhi
They take their horns very seriously on the roads here. A toot can mean anything from "I'm passing you", "I'm behind you", "get out of the way", or "you look very nice today". Tonight have an evening pre-departure meeting at 6pm followed by an optional dinner with the group.Hotel Perfect or similar
Day 2 - Agra - Taj Mahal
Travel by express train from Delhi to Agra. Leave your expectations behind, because this is better than any postcard. Is that a tear in your eye, or are your allergies playing up again? Visit the majestic Taj Mahal with a local guide and perhaps spend your free time in Agra with an optional trip to mighty Agra Fort.Hotel Royal Residency or similar
Day 3 - Tordi Garh
Take the public bus from Agra to Dausa, then change to a private vehicle for the trip through the countryside to Tordi. Everything seems brighter in this tiny village - the saris, the smiles, the marigold chains they put around your neck when you get here. Good thing you bought three pairs of Ray Bans for $11 in the markets of Delhi. Learn about local life and meet families in this remote town, where few travellers visit. Join a village walking tour and then stay the night in an opulent former palace.Hotel Tordi Garh or similar
Day 4-5 - Jaipur
Continue by private vehicle to Jaipur. Home of the Amber Fort, Palace of the Winds and Johari Jewellery Bazaar. Let your leader show you their favourite food hall for masala dosa and thalis. We spend two nights here so you'll have plenty of time for exploring and optional activities.Hotel Mrignayani Palace or similar
Day 6-7 - Delhi
Jump on the train and journey back to the nation's capital. There's time for a hot shave and a haircut from one of the barbers lining the streets. You'll go home looking fresh as a daisy. Travel by metro, then cycle rickshaw on your way to a walking tour through the heart of Old Delhi. Visit markets and the commercial heart of the city or spend your free time at the Red Fort or Jama Masjid. Have an optional final night dinner with the group tonight. The trip ends after breakfast on Day 7 but Delhi has much more to offer for those who want to stick around.Hotel Perfect or similar

The trip was fantastic! Some of the restaurants were a little pricey but otherwise good food Would like more street food and another day in Tordi would be great! The success of our trip however was directly due to our guide!
