Red Sea Recovery

Overview
The Sinai is a place of awesome beauty where rugged beaches, lapped by the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Aqaba, form a picturesque frame for the jagged mountains of the peninsula. Along the coast are several havens for travellers seeking a few days of R&R after a busy trip through the Nile Valley.
Dahab, known for its crystal-clear waters, is one of the most popular destinations for younger travellers. Here you can spend lazy afternoons sipping cool fruit juices, playing backgammon with friends or the locals, while the ocean gently laps the shoreline. In the evening, there are numerous cheap restaurants to choose from and you can enjoy a fabulous seafood banquet for just a few dollars.
For some, Dahab also offers the chance to head out on a day dive. It has some of the best diving in the region and the underwater life is truly spectacular. About 15 metres from the shore the reef suddenly drops away, exposing some of the most beautiful coral in the world. Snorkels cost a few of dollars to hire for the day and there’s no better way to cool down - especially during the hot summer months.
