This is a fabulous journey through Jordan and Israel that covers some of the most important historical and biblical sights in the world. The desert of Wadi Rum formed backdrops to the great exploits of Moses and Lawrence of Arabia. Petra gives us a glimpse into the secret world of the Nabataean, whilst Jerash showcases the glories of the Roman Empire. Then there is Jerusalem - not only a holy city for Armenians, Jews, Christians and Muslims, but a place of pilgrimage for travellers the world over.
The highlight of this trip without a doubt is Chefchaouen. This town is small, low key, nestled in the mountains and a little off the beaten track. We spend three nights here, with enough time for a day walk into the mountains, lunch in a traditional mountain village and plenty of free time to soak up the Spanish influence of this hidden gem!
