  • Why we love Argentina

A trip to Argentina looms large on the minds and desires of travellers for a good reason: it’s the stuff daydreams are made of. From saucy cities brimming with bars, to sleepy lakeside towns and mountains custom-made for climbing Argentina promises (and delivers) good times to all who come in pursuit of good times.

Travel to Argentina on a Geckos tour to binge on chocolate in Bariloche, get your dose of nature in San Martin de los Andes, drink yourself sideways in Mendoza, be blown away by the aquatic thunder of Iguazu Falls and lose yourself in the pursuit of happiness in the bars and milongas of Buenos Aires.

The mother country of Argentine legends like Maradona, Messi, Peron, Guevara, and Pope Francis, it’s hard to imagine the continent of South America (or the world) without that kickass, colourful wedge known as Argentina.

    Safety information

Everyone has the right to feel safe and secure on their trip. We don’t tolerate any form of sexual harassment at Peregrine and Geckos, either between passengers or involving our leaders or local operators. Sexual relationships (consensual or otherwise) between a leader and a passenger are unacceptable. If you ever feel another person is behaving inappropriately please inform us immediately by contacting the emergency contact number detailed in these trip notes.

There’s that flash of Quechua pink and purple in Peru, a swirl of Argentine crimson or the eye-popping glitter of Rio’s...
