Our favourite things about Ecuador
- Quaint Quito
In 1978, Quito was named UNESCO's first ever World Heritage site. As far as records go, it's definitely more exciting than "World's First Cat Hotel" or "World's First Necktie Vending Machine".
Go the Galapagos
Visit the other-worldly islands of the Galapagos, where volcanoes, giant tortoise, sea lions, iguanas, birds and beaches live in harmony. Technically volcanoes and beaches aren’t alive, but you get the gist.
Falling asleep in the Amazon is like having one of those "Sounds of the Jungle" tapes comes to life. Expect the occasional squawk.
Visit Otavalo and one of the best handicraft markets in the Andes.
Spend time in Banos exploring, whitewater rafting, mountain biking or horse riding. Whatever you choose is time well spent because it’s lovely here.
