Incan mythology states that Lake Titicaca is the site where civilisation began. And apparently, this is where the first Inca king, Manco Copac, was born of the sun god.

Take a slow motor boat to the floating reed islands in the middle of Lake Titicaca and spend some time being amazed that you are visiting floating reed islands in the middle of Lake Titicaca. Then head to a local homestay and be amazed that you are spending the night with a real family in South America. It's a good day, alright?
Transfer to the pier woith only the items required for your homestay
Attend a safety briefing at the pier prior to departure
Board the boat and head to the homestay (approx 2.5 hours) - we recommend taking snacks and a gift for the family
There's no electricity on the island, so take a torch
There's also no shower, so perhaps take some wet wipes
Meals are simple but hearty

Leave your host family for Taquila Island, where you can take a hike uphill and view panoramas of Lake Titicaca. Then head back to Puno and be all like, 'Naawwww, I don't want this Lake Titicaca experience to end.' Sorry, but all good things must come to an end.
Board the boat again (approx 1 hr) after breakfast for a visit to Taquile Island
Hike uphill for about an hour to enjoy views out over the lake
Enjoy your lunch with an amazing view from here
Transfer back to Puno (3 hours by boat)
At Puno pier (about 4-5 in the afternoon), your adventure comes to an end
