    From Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City this is a little beauty of a trip.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 - Bangkok

    Don't miss a sunset drink on the rooftop at Sky Bar - Lebua at state Tower. Oh and the group briefing with your local tour guide.

    • The adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6pm on Day 1
    • If arriving early - perhaps take a riverboat to Chinatown and explore the crowded streets
    • Why not visit the magnificent Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha

    Day 2-4 - Siem Reap/Ankgor Wat

    It's a temple-filled day but we guarantee you'll come out with some awesome shots for Facebook.

    • Set off on a long drive from Bangkok to Siem Reap (approx. 8-9 hours including border crossing and lunch)
    • The Angkor markets are a great place to shop or to try some cheap, delicious street food
    • Visit the world-famous Angkor complex
    • Enjoy spectacular photographic opportunities at Angkor at any time of day - watching a sunrise or sunset is a must
    • Enjoy plenty of time to fully appreciate the great archaeological sites of Angkor Wat, the Bayon and the jungle-covered Ta Prohm
    • Depending on the season there may be a chance to visit Tonle Sap Lake for a look at local life

    Day 5 - Kompong Cham

    Rice paddies, sugar palms, old pagodas and super friendly locals - that just about sums this place up.

    • Travel by public bus to Kompong Cham (approx 4 hrs)
    • Make the most of a great opportunity to experience life in small-town Cambodia
    • Explore the serene 11th-century Wat Nokor.
    • Hire a bike to discover the rural island of Koh Paen, linked to Kompong Cham by an elaborate bamboo bridge (passable only in the dry season, take a ferry in the wet)

    Day 6 - Phnom Penh

    Free time to visit the Killing Fields and Choeung Ek Museum and grab a bargain at Psar Thmei market.

    • Catch a public bus to the capital city of Phnom Penh (approx 3 hrs), which boasts some fine examples of French-inspired architecture
    • Head out to the Choeung Ek Memorial, where a stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls marks the site of the infamous Killing Fields
    • Learn about a brighter period in Cambodian history with a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda
    • Explore Wat Phnom, a peaceful temple situated on a hill for which the city is named
    • Check out the National Museum - it contains many outstanding examples of Khmer craftsmanship
    • Take in the sites including the central market, US Embassy, Wat Phnom, Mekong river front, independence monument and the Royal Palace.by cyclo
    • Perhaps stop in at the art deco-designed Psar Thmei (Central Market) - a great place for browsing, or travel out to Psar Tuol Tom Pong (the Russian Market) for the best range of local souvenirs

    Day 7 - Homestay

    It's basic but it's only for a night so enjoy the home cooked meal and the chats with your local host family.

    • Travel by private bus into rural Cambodia (approx 3 hrs).
    • Witness everyday Cambodian life and  enjoy a traditional-style dinner at a homestay

    Day 8-9 - Sihanoukville

    The beaches are really quiet here. Find your patch of sand and soak up the sun.

    • Take a private bus to Sihanoukville (approx 3 hrs), which has miles of beaches and warm, welcoming people
    • Take a boat to one of the nearby islands, enjoy a barbecue lunch and relax among swaying palms, white sands and blue waters
    • Make a trip out to the Ream National Park - 21 hectares of coastal mangrove forest, which hosts a great variety of animal and bird species

    Day 10 - Phnom Penh

    Have one of the best massages of your life at Seeing Hands, where massages are performed by the visually impaired.

    • Take a local bus to Phnom Penh (approx 4 hrs)
    • Why not indulge in a traditional massage at the Seeing Hands Massage parlours - they're some of the best in the city

    Day 11-12 - Ho Chi Minh City

    Long bus ride to Ho Chi Minh City. This place is fast-paced so best thing to do is hit the sites or watch it go by from one of the street-side cafes.

    • Set off on a long journey by local bus to Ho Chi Minh City (approx 6-7 hrs)
    • Those with extra time in Ho Chi Minh - be sure to visit the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum
    • There are no activities planned for the final day and you are able to depart the accommodation at any time
    • Please check the 'Finishing Point Hotel' section for checkout times and luggage storage possibilities
