1. ROBOTIC ORIGINS

The word robot was made famous in a play by Czech, Karl Capek. His brother, Josef, was the one who made it up.

Prague’s astronomical clock was installed in 1410 making it the oldest working astronomical clock in the world.

Soft contact lenses were invented by Czech chemist, Otto Wichterle.
