Get one hand on a greasy bratwurst and the other around a cold beer and scoff them down quick cos there’s much to see in Germany.
Germany may be small, but it sure is mighty. From the humbling history and underground grunge/ art culture of Berlin to the gingerbread houses, fairytale-like castles and cobbled streets of the sprawling villages, Germany is altogether a pretty rad place.
We mainly like it because there’s lots of sausage and beer and pretzels. There’s also Lederhosen, and honestly, is there anything better in this world than Lederhosen?
And you have to give it to Beethoven, Bach and Wagner – they were rockstars back in the day. Pretty much the Beyonce, Lorde and Jay Z of the 17 and 1800s. And Germany was home to all three. Rock on, Germany.

Berlin to Venice by Rail, June 2018
Geckos Adventures is the best small group tours I've ever been on, and this is my 6th group trip! I've used other companies that promised similar experiences, but due to their large size, non-local guides and accommodations too far from the city center feel flat. Geckos' offers the best of the best due to their mission of sustainability and funding local businesses, small size and local expert guides. I can't imagine using any other travel company from here on out for my vacations.

London to Berlin by Rail, August 2017
Overall a good experience. Tour leaders are all great. Thoroughly enjoyed travelling by rail. Good to keep in mind that the trip will run no matter how few people book so you might end up with a very small group.
